Reporters recently learned from the Transportation Department of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region that by the end of October, the region had invested 34.43 billion yuan in transportation infrastructure construction this year, an increase of 43.4% over the same period last year.
It is reported that since this year, the Transportation Department of the Autonomous Region has focused on the strategic positioning of "two barriers", "two bases" and "one bridgehead", made up for shortcomings, strengths and weaknesses, moderately advanced to speed up infrastructure construction, increased by 2 billion yuan on the basis of the original investment target at the beginning of the year, and planned to complete the investment of 35 billion yuan in transportation infrastructure construction throughout the year. At present, 24.76 billion yuan has been invested in key highways, an increase of 46% over the previous year; 8.35 billion yuan has been invested in rural and pastoral highways, an increase of 42.2% over the previous year, and 119.3% of the annual target tasks have been completed; 1.17 billion yuan has been invested in transportation station projects and other projects, an increase of 20.6% over the previous year.
Inner Mongolia Transportation has established a major project scheduling and coordination mechanism, optimized the construction plan, advanced the construction schedule, accelerated the construction speed, and further optimized the approval process, improved the approval efficiency, and strengthened the coordination with other approval departments. At present, there are 56 key highway projects under construction in the whole district, with a construction mileage of 4980 km; 11 key highway projects in the whole district have been approved for engineering feasibility study, 14 for design approval, 23 for construction land formalities and 23 for construction permits, with a year-on-year increase of 120%, 40%, 53.3% and 92% respectively. In terms of roads in
rural and pastoral areas, Inner Mongolia has added 1000 kilometers of roads in rural and pastoral areas this year on the basis of ensuring the annual target of 5000 kilometers of construction. At present, 7759 kilometers of roads have been constructed and 6091 kilometers have been completed.
