Tariff on imported cement from Mongolia reduced to 0%

Due to the short construction period of the construction industry and the increasing amount of work, the price of cement sold in the market has risen to 600,000 MNT/ton.

The Mongolian government recently held a regular meeting to revise the names and tariff rates of some imported goods, including colored or uncolored, clinker or unclinker, Portland cement, high alumina cement, slag cement, persulfate cement and hydrated cement. From the current 20% tariff to 0%.

Due to the short construction period of the construction industry and the increasing amount of work, the price of cement sold in the market has risen to 600,000 MNT/ton. Therefore, the Mongolian government has decided to temporarily "zero" the cement tariff in order to reduce the price of cement, reduce the burden on enterprises and meet domestic demand.

The resolution is valid until the end of 2022.
