On September 14, Nepalese Prime Minister Deuba presented the "Outstanding Leadership Award" to Liu Shuguang, General Manager of Nepal Red Lion Hope Cement Co., Ltd.
On the same day, the "Sustainable Infrastructure Investment Forum 2022" hosted by the Nepal Investment Commission opened in Kathmandu. Deuba, Prime Minister of Nepal and Chairman of the Investment Commission, presided over the opening ceremony. Liu Shuguang attended the opening ceremony as an award-winning guest. The
Investment Commission of Nepal is the highest body of the Federal Government of Nepal to approve large-scale investment projects, and has played an important role in implementing the reform of infrastructure projects and supporting the economic and social development of the country. Since its inception, the Investment Commission of Nepal has approved a number of public-private partnership and direct private investment projects with a total cost of about $9 billion. Among them, the total investment cost of the project that the Nepal Investment Commission has been promoting is about $6.2 billion.
Under the strategic guidance of the Investment Commission of Nepal, the Government of Nepal has launched the 15th Plan and a series of follow-up policies, as well as international commitments such as the Sustainable Development Goals. All along, the Investment Commission has insisted on developing reliable and profitable projects to attract investment. As the last event of the 10th anniversary celebration of the establishment of the Investment Commission, the theme of
the "Sustainable Infrastructure Investment Forum 2022" is "Unlocking the Investment Potential of Nepal's Economic Transformation". The event provides an opportunity for potential investors, developers, policy makers, development partners and financial institutions to interact and communicate.
Nepal Red Lion Hope Cement Co., Ltd. is jointly invested and constructed by China Red Lion Holding Group and Nepal Hope Cement Group, with a total investment of 350 million US dollars. It has built and put into operation a clinker cement production line with a daily output of 6000 tons , which can produce 2.3 million tons of high-grade cement annually. The company is also an exemplary project of cooperation between China and Nepal.

More than a year ago, Nepalese Prime Minister Deuba awarded the "Anti-epidemic Honorary Award" to Nepal Red Lion Hope Cement Co., Ltd., a Chinese-funded enterprise, at the 18th meeting of the Federation of Nepalese Industries, in recognition of its contribution in helping the local fight against the COVID-19 epidemic.
