北部湾港集团消息，西江航运干线双线船闸全面贯通暨西津枢纽二线船闸通航现场会即将与12月15日举行。
西津水利枢纽二线船闸工程是国家战略珠江-西江经济带发展规划和西江黄金水道建设的重点工程，是广西壮族自治区西江经济带基础设施建设大会战关键工程和强首府重点工程，也是西部陆海新通道广西物流通道重点工程。
西津水利枢纽二线船闸建成通航，意味着西江航运干线碍航瓶颈问题将得到破解，3000吨级船舶可从南宁直航粤港澳大湾区。同时，西津二线船闸溯江而上约14公里处的平塘江口就是平陆运河起点，平陆运河建成后，从南宁经平陆运河至钦州港出海的航程291公里，比经广东省出海缩短约560公里。
