away from home, dream of the world. They root their youth in the Belt and Road, and create miracles with perseverance and dedication! Dedicated to the 40 years of reform and opening up, pay tribute to the fifth anniversary of the Belt and Road, "Struggle in the Belt and Road", a true record of the inspirational legends along the Belt and Road. This time, let's meet a Chinese engineer born in the 1980s who has been deeply engaged in the overseas market for nearly 10 years. The cement plant he and his team built in Nepal has become popular because of its amazing Chinese quality and has become a "net red punch card" in Nepal!
In Nepal, there is a "net red" cement factory. Many Nepalese people took photos of the factory area and posted them on the Internet, exclaiming: This cement factory is like a "magician" conjured up!
Bring your family with you, bring friends with you, take selfies with you … Nepalese people are "clocking in"
in front of the Chinese cement plant, which is a miracle created by a Chinese and his team. In just one year, they built the largest and most advanced cement plant in Nepal, which provided important support for Nepal's post-disaster reconstruction. The amazing Chinese craftsmanship, Chinese speed and Chinese quality have made the newly ignited cement plant a "net red punch card" in Nepal. As a result, the Chinese team has gained a special title: magician.
The Chinese, Fang Yingmin, is the overseas project manager of Sinoma International Nanjing Plate. He was born in the 1980s and has been overseas for nearly 10 years. But the experience of building a factory in Nepal made him feel particularly difficult, but also particularly novel: "I have been building a factory overseas for almost 10 years, the first time I met 1000 kilometers of logistics to transport for three months, the first time I built a cement plant into a'net red ', and the first time I drove a forklift to buy vegetables.." I met all these adventures on the cement plant project in Nepal.

On April 25, 2015, Nepal was hit by an 8.1 magnitude earthquake. Post-disaster reconstruction needs a lot of cement, but the local cement production capacity is relatively low, relying heavily on Indian imports. At the end of 2016, Fang Yingmin and his team rushed to the rescue. When they arrived, they found that the difficulties were much greater than they had imagined. Fang Yingmin recalled: The biggest headache is logistics. Two months in Africa is almost enough, but the longest time here is five months. In China, if we rent these ten cranes, it should be a matter of minutes, but in Nepal, it has become a big problem. It can be said that we rent all the cranes that can be rented in Nepal to the scene. The local logistics in
Nepal is a great headache
for Fang Yingmin. In order to catch up with the delay in logistics, the first thing to do is to solve the problem of manpower. Nepal has more than 300 festivals, there are more than 50 holidays, for this reason, Fang Yingmin set up a full attendance award, a month of work 26 days, there is a great reward. The difficulty of
recruiting workers also left Fang Yingmin at a loss. After
communication, local workers in Nepal hesitated and raised their hands to agree. "The Chinese work very hard, and we want to be like the Chinese," said Qilin, head of the Nepalese workers' group.
[The vegetable delivery truck was washed away by the water, so they had to drive a forklift to buy vegetables]
The continuous rainy season in Nepal also brought many difficulties to the project. In the rainy season last year, the car that delivered food to Fang Yingmin was washed away by the river. For the sake of safety, they can only arrange loaders to buy enough vegetables for three days. It was an interesting sight for such a big guy to walk in the rain.
Driving a forklift to buy vegetables has become a unique local landscape

. "On this project, we have paid too much hard work, and we have overcome too many difficulties," Fang Yingmin told reporters with emotion. During the whole construction period, Fang Yingmin walked more than 20,000 steps on the construction site every day; worked with his workmates on the project site for 330 days a year; handled a total of 75,000 square meters of logistics; and managed more than 1,000 Chinese and foreign employees. After more than ten years
outside, Fang Yingmin is also very homesick. But he said: "Although I am only a small project manager, I can have this opportunity to participate in the implementation of the Belt and Road Initiative, which can bring China's speed and quality to foreign countries and benefit more people.". In fact, this is not only to fight for our personal career, but also to fulfill the mission entrusted to our generation by the country.
This is also the mission of all members of Fang Yingmin's team: Li Jinlong, the leader of the civil engineering team, did not go home for reunion during the Spring Festival for two consecutive years; Wang Yantao, the driver of the 150-ton crawler crane, persisted in working for many days at a high temperature of 40 degrees Celsius; Zhu Zhenfeng, the driver of the tower crane, worked continuously for 12 hours at a height of 170 meters every day.. More than 300 builders built Nepal's largest cement plant in only 16 months , three years ahead of their European and American counterparts. Its annual production capacity accounts for 40% of the total cement production in Nepal.
Local people commented on the project like this:
Nepalese worker Min: "Now the factory has been built, the road is easy to walk, and it is convenient for villagers to go out to do business.". Sharma,
an Indian worker, said, I like working here very much. I have learned a lot of skills. It will be easier to find a job in the future. Mahala, former Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of
Nepal, said that the cement plant built by Chinese enterprises is very large, and it will bring new strength and more possibilities to Nepal's economic and social development. "
With the pace of reform and opening up, Fang Yingmin's Sinoma International (Nanjing) has built footprints all over Asia and Africa, with more than 100 general contracting projects and more than 1000 design projects all over the world.".
By 2017, the newly signed contracts for foreign contracted projects in Jiangsu Province exceeded 10 billion yuan for the first time!
"After the completion of this factory, just like our children, it is a picture painted by our own hands, hoping that our dreams and our struggles will blossom in more countries along the Belt and Road." Fang Yingmin, overseas project manager of Sinoma International Nanjing Plate, said.
Trekking and persevering, we are at home everywhere. To make the cement gray, write the youth bright!
