Tajikistan plans to increase annual cement production to 5.3 million tons and exports to 1.9 million tons by 2023.

Tajikistan's Avesta News Agency Dushanbe reported on March 15 that Tajikistan plans to increase its annual cement production to 5.3 million tons and its export volume to 1.9 million tons by 2023, according to Tajikistan's macroeconomic indicators forecast for 2021-2023. That is, an average annual increase of 200,000 tons. Although the production capacity and output of tower cement are increasing year by year, the domestic demand is also increasing. In addition to the small demand for color cement, the tower can fully meet the domestic demand for ordinary cement.

At present, there are 16 cement production enterprises in the tower, with an annual design capacity of 5.6 million tons. In 2020, the cement output of Tajikistan was 4.2 million tons and the export volume was 1.3 million tons, of which 764,000 tons were exported to Uzbekistan, 505,000 tons to Afghanistan and 42,000 tons to Kyrgyzstan.
