Uzbekistan Newspaper Network reported on March 12 that in order to reduce the price of houses under construction, Ukrainian President Mirziyoyev signed a presidential decree on March 11, deciding to temporarily exempt imported cement products from tariffs.
According to the Presidential Decree on Several Supplementary Measures to Guarantee Residential Housing by Providing Mortgage Loans on the Basis of Market Principles, Ukraine will suspend tariffs on imported cement from April 1 to October 1, 2021 (the current tariff rate is 30% of the customs value). The
Central Bank of Ukraine pointed out on November 11 that the construction sector will develop rapidly in the coming months, which may lead to rising prices of cement and other building materials. It is necessary for the government to take timely measures to expand the supply of related products and services and encourage market competition.
