1. Classification

of aggregates in Japan Japan divides aggregates into five categories: gravel, natural sand (river sand, land sand, mountain sand and sea sand); crushed stone and crushed sand; limestone for concrete; artificial aggregate (with blast furnace slag and fly ash as the main raw materials); recycled aggregate (with construction waste as the main raw material). According to the particle size, it is divided into coarse aggregate (5mm mesh screen, more than 85% retention) and fine aggregate (5mm mesh screen, more than 85% pass).
