Vietnam's total cement sales in 2020 still reached 100 million tons, an increase of 1% year-on-year.

Vietnam's Youth Daily reported on February 22 that the Ministry of Construction of Vietnam recently released a report entitled "Evaluation of Cement Supply and Demand in 2020 and Forecast of Cement Supply and Demand Balance in 2021", which said that despite the impact of the COVID-19 epidemic, the total sales of cement in 2020 still reached 100 million tons, an increase of 1% over the same period last year. Among them, 62 million tons were sold domestically and 37.9 million tons were exported. The price of

cement varies greatly from region to region, with the price per ton of cement in the south being 300,000 VND higher than that in the north. At the same time, the total value of cement export in 2020 was 1.37 billion US dollars, and the average price of cement export was 37.4 US dollars/ton.

The Ministry of Construction predicts that in 2021, cement exports from China and Thailand may increase, so Vietnam's cement production enterprises will encounter more difficulties. Enterprises should understand the market situation, adjust production in time, and reduce supply when necessary to avoid being depressed.
