On May 22, the H30801 train loaded with 2851 tons of cement departed from Danzhouying Station of Xinshuo Railway of the State Energy Group to Fengzhen Station of Hohhot Railway Bureau. The first non-coal cargo transportation of "Fengzhenkou" of Xinshuo Railway was successfully completed, and a new non-coal cargo transportation channel was successfully opened up.
The train is transported by Shanxi Qingliyuan Company, with 49 N70 flat cars, 98 22N8 tank containers, bulk cement and 2800 tons of load. It is transported through Dazhun Line, Fenglian Line and Beijing-Baotou Line, through Hohhot Railway Bureau, Taiyuan Railway Bureau and Beijing Railway Bureau, and finally to Fengtai West Station. The operation of the
train has opened up a new channel for the outward transportation of cement products in Qingshuihe County, Hohhot City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, with an estimated annual shipment volume of 200,000 tons, which will strongly support the infrastructure construction of Xiongan New Area. As
we all know, cement is a "short leg" product in the traditional sense. However, in recent years, with the landing of the policies of "scattered collection" and "public transit railway", cement has been breaking through the sales radius and moving towards a brand-new regional market. Therefore, the infrastructure construction of Inner Mongolia Cement yuanchi Xiongan New Area is not a case.
As early as 2019, the first special train with a full load of 2,800 tons of bulk cement arrived at Beijing Fengtai West Freight Station from Shaliang Freight Station in Hohhot, Inner Mongolia, after flying more than 500 kilometers, with a total volume of about 1 million tons entering Beijing. Inner Mongolia Cement's 100-mile support to Beijing has effectively filled the gap in local cement demand. According to statistics, the use of cement in Beijing is basically maintained at about 17 million tons, but the production capacity of cement is only about 4 million tons, and the remaining 13 million tons are supplied by other cities.
The report points out that due to the use of 100 new tank containers to carry bulk cement, 100 heavy-duty trucks can be reduced, which is equivalent to reducing the air pollution caused by the exhaust emissions of 20000 cars along the way to Beijing. Railway transportation accounts for 90% of the total transportation, and carbon emissions can be reduced by 80% compared with traditional methods.
Coincidentally, in January this year, the departure ceremony of the first Wu'an Xinfeng Cement-Heze Green Logistics "Public Transit Railway" special line was held in Wu'an Industrial Investment Logistics Center. The whole train consisted of 25 sections and 50 containers totaling 1545 tons. Through the special line, Xinfeng Cement went directly to Shandong Heze Green Logistics Base. Next, Xinfeng Company will build a special railway line project at Wuji Station of Handan Long Line (design traffic volume of 5 million tons/year in the near future and 8 million tons/year in the long term). The project has been approved by Beijing Bureau of China Railway and is about to start construction.
In general, the "public transit railway" for cement transportation has the advantages of long transportation distance, large transportation volume and low freight, which effectively helps cement enterprises to expand their sales radius. At the same time, low-carbon and efficient railway transportation is also more in line with the pace of green and high-quality development of cement enterprises. However, it should be noted that while expanding the sales radius of cement, saving energy and reducing consumption, the "public transit railway" may also have a certain impact on the market structure of the importing areas.
