Japanese catalyst's acrylic acid plant in Indonesia will start up in August

< P > < FONT face = Verdana > On the 23rd, the Japanese catalyst company said that the company planned to put the 80,000 tons/year acrylic acid (AA) plant and 90,000 tons/year super absorbent polymer (SAP) plant in Cilegon, Indonesia, into operation.

< P > < FONT face = Verdana > "Two installations may be driven at the end of August after the Ramadan holiday." The company mentioned that the Muslim holy month of Ramadan may begin at the end of September, and the specific date is based on the crescent moon.

< P > < FONT face = Verdana > The company originally intended to build a 160,000t/y AA unit and a 120,000t/y SAP unit in Asia or Europe.

< P > < FONT face = Verdana > "There are no plans to expand production after the Himeji device incident," the company said.

< P > < FONT face = Verdana > SAP is the raw material for products such as diapers and industrial filters, while glacial acrylic acid is used to produce SAP.
