March 19, Changsha Industrial Park. The 62-meter pump truck of Sany Heavy Industry set out urgently with the blessing of the Chinese people and traveled day and night. On March 24, the pump truck arrived at Osaka Port in Japan. On March 27, three Japanese operators drove the 62-meter pump truck to the rescue site of the Fukushima nuclear power plant. Before that, Sany service engineers had conducted two days of emergency training for Japanese operators. At the same time, according to the situation on the spot, the boom of the pump truck was equipped with a water injection pipe, which reached 67 meters.

It is reported that the 62-meter pump truck of Sany Heavy Industry is the pump truck with the longest boom ever in Japan. In order to make the pump truck go to Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station smoothly, the Ministry of Land and Transport of Japan has planned the route in advance, and specially equipped with police cars to clear the way for the pump truck. In this way, at 12:45 on March 27, after about 8 days of preliminary work including equipment debugging, land and sea transportation, operator training and water test, the 62-meter pump truck finally arrived at the command center of Fukushima Nuclear Power Station.

At 12 o'clock on March 31, the pump truck officially began to inject water to cool down Unit 1 of Fukushima Nuclear Power Station. According to the latest news, the equipment is running normally and the water injection effect is very good. According to professional sources, although all six units of the Fukushima nuclear power plant have been declared scrapped, water injection cooling is the necessary step for the final closure. According to Japanese official sources, the core temperature of the reactor of Unit 1 is still as high as 2500 degrees, so the work of water injection cooling may continue for about a month.
