Sany: Witness China's Construction Machinery Helps India's Economy

In the India Industrial Park of China Sany Heavy Industry Co., Ltd., located about 200 kilometers southeast of Mumbai, India, visiting reporters on the 27th saw a newly produced concrete pump. Among them, the most advanced model can deliver concrete to buildings 250 meters high, which is known as the powerful booster of modern engineering construction. Liang Dong, general manager of Sany Heavy Industry India, proudly told reporters that this type of equipment was used in the construction of the tallest building of 215 meters in Mumbai in 2007.

According to Liang Dong, Sany Heavy Industry began to enter the Indian market as early as 2002, and is an early Chinese enterprise to enter the Indian market. In 2007, Sany Heavy Industry began to build an industrial park in Pune, India. The newly completed plant in the industrial park is the first phase of the project, covering an area of more than 30000 square meters, and has produced the first batch of construction machinery and equipment.

Walking into the factory building, the brand-new mixer trucks are arranged neatly. Liang Dong said that the 3.5-ton mixer truck is in the leading position in the Indian market, Sri Lanka has ordered, and engineering contracts in some parts of India are under negotiation.

The reporter saw that the main color of the whole mixer truck was off-white, but the two sides of the water tank were red. Liang Dong said excitedly that Indians like red as much as Chinese people, red represents auspiciousness, and technicians specially painted red.

In the production workshop, some Indian employees are working on welding and other types of work. There are about 600 employees in the industrial park, most of whom are local employees. The industrial park has carried out a lot of technical training for these Indian employees. After a period of training, some Indian technicians have become the technical backbone of the industrial park. Liang Dong said that the use of Indian employees in the industrial park was well received by the Indian government.

In the next few years, Sany Heavy Industry India Industrial Park will also build six large factories, making the whole industrial park cover an area of about 500 mu, becoming a comprehensive large-scale base for research and development, manufacturing, sales and service of construction machinery, and better serving the engineering construction in India and the whole South Asia region.

Wang Donghua, Chinese Consul General in Mumbai, India, expressed the hope that Sany Heavy Industry India Industrial Park would actively explore, win glory for the motherland, contribute to India's economic development, and write a new chapter for the development of friendship between China and India.
