< P > < FONT face = Verdana > According to a report in the World Daily of Thailand on August 8, Sucha, Assistant Minister of Finance of Thailand, said at a forum entitled "Opening the Free Trade Market, the First Step of Government Procurement" that the government's bidding for opening up projects will promote the development potential of domestic industries and promote economic growth. Open up free trade and allow foreign investment to participate in bidding. Despite concerns that the Thai industry may not be able to compete with foreign capital, and that there are problems such as transparency in management, accountability, and fraud, the World Bank points out that if the market is not opened, the country's development will stagnate, it will not be able to stand firm in the international arena, and the ability of the private sector will not be improved.

< P > < FONT face = Verdana > Thai Development Research Institute (TDRI) expert Songge pointed out that the Thai industry has great potential and is ready to compete with foreign capital abroad. For a long time, the Thai industry has been able to win tenders for government projects worth 200-300 million baht, such as highways, water conservancy projects, bridges, and so on, in competition with foreign capital. Thailand has an advantage in using labor and machinery in construction projects, but if it is a high-tech project, it may not be able to compete with foreign capital. Thai companies have gone abroad to bid for large-scale construction projects, such as the Middle East, India, and ASEAN, and many projects have been able to win the bid.

< P > < FONT face = Verdana > In the competition with foreign capital, domestic operators should develop their capabilities in all aspects, improve their own potential, and ensure victory in future government project bidding. After the government's open and free policy, the number of bidders at home and abroad will increase, which will help the government save the project budget, reaching 330-300 million baht annually.
