《黄石港总体规划（2035）》2020年5月获交通运输部、省政府联合批复后，黄石同步启动华新百年复兴工业园码头等22个万吨级泊位前期工作。
1月12日获悉，黄石今年将开工建设22个万吨级泊位，预计到2023年，港口吞吐能力将达到1.4亿吨，提前实现“亿吨大港”目标。
黄石市交通运输局局长吴建春介绍，2021年，黄石港口将迎来泊位数量最多、吞吐能力最大、设计标准最高的开工年。《黄石港总体规划（2035）》2020年5月获交通运输部、省政府联合批复后，黄石同步启动新港三期、黄颡口砂石集并中心、阳新电建产业园码头、华新百年复兴工业园码头等22个万吨级泊位前期工作，均于2020年12月全部上报交通运输部办理岸线审批手续，目前已获批12个，另外10个有望春节前获批。同时，22个泊位其他报批报建手续基本完成，预计一季度具备开工条件。这些泊位预计两年后投用，将新增年吞吐能力8040万吨。
据悉，黄石新港现已建成万吨级泊位15个，港口年吞吐能力6000万吨，2020年实际吞吐量5000余万吨、6万余标箱，成功创建国家多式联运示范港，在全省率先实现“铁水联运”无缝对接。
