On April 16, the National Bureau of Statistics released the energy production situation in March this year.
Overall, in March, the scale of raw coal production in industries above the scale (hereinafter referred to as regulated industries) was stable, crude oil production maintained growth, natural gas production accelerated, and electricity production grew steadily.
From January to March, the regulated industrial power generation was 2,378.2 billion kWh, representing a year-on-year increase of 3.4%. Among them, in March, the regulated industrial power generation was 802.5 billion kWh, an increase of 1.4% over the same period last year, and the growth rate dropped by 2.7 percentage points from January to February.
From the perspective of power generation types, in March, the growth rate of industrial thermal power, hydropower and solar power accelerated, while nuclear power and wind power increased and decreased. Among them, industrial solar power generation increased by 10.0%, and the growth rate was 0.1 percentage points faster than that in January-February.

Energy production
in March 2026 In March, the scale of raw coal production in industries above designated size (hereinafter referred to as regulated industries) was stable, crude oil production maintained growth, natural gas production accelerated, and electricity production grew steadily.
1. Production of raw coal, crude oil and natural gas and related conditions
The scale of raw coal production is stable. In March, the regulated industrial raw coal output was 440 million tons, which was the same as the same period last year; the average daily output was 14.21 million tons.
From January to March, the output of industrial raw coal was 1.2 billion tons, up 0.1% year-on-year.

Crude oil production has maintained growth. In March, the planned industrial crude oil output was 19.07 million tons, up 0.2% year on year; the average daily output was 615,000 tons.
From January to March, the planned industrial crude oil output was 54.8 million tons, up 1.3% year-on-year.
Crude oil processing has changed from increase to decrease. In March, the regulated processing volume of industrial crude oil was 61.67 million tons, down 2.2% from the same period last year; the average daily processing volume was 1.989 million tons.
From January to March, the planned industrial processing of crude oil was 184.31 million tons, up 1.1% over the same period last year. The growth rate of

natural gas production has accelerated. In March, the regulated industrial natural gas output was 23.4 billion cubic meters, with a year-on-year increase of 3.0%, and the growth rate was 0.1 percentage points faster than that in January-February; the average daily output was 750 million cubic meters.
From January to March, the output of industrial natural gas was 68.1 billion cubic meters, an increase of 3.0% over the same period last year.

Two, the situation
of power production and the steady growth of industrial power production. In March, the regulated industrial power generation was 802.5 billion kWh, with a year-on-year increase of 1.4%, and the growth rate dropped by 2.7 percentage points from January to February; the average daily power generation was 25.89 billion kWh. From January to March, the planned industrial power generation was 23782 billion kWh, an increase of 3.4% over the same period last year.
In terms of varieties, in March, the growth rate of industrial thermal power, hydropower and solar power accelerated, while nuclear power and wind power increased and decreased. Among them, the regulated industrial thermal power increased by 4.2% year-on-year, and the growth rate was 0.9 percentage points faster than that in January-February; the regulated industrial hydropower increased by 10.8%, and the growth rate was 4.0 percentage points faster; the regulated industrial nuclear power decreased by 11.8%, and increased by 0.8% in January-February; the regulated industrial wind power decreased by 17.3%, and increased by 5.3% in January-February; Industrial solar power generation increased by 10.0%, and the growth rate was 0.1 percentage points faster than that in January-February.

Note
1. Explanation
of indicators Average daily output of products: It is calculated by dividing the total output of industrial enterprises above designated size published in the current month by the calendar days of the month.
2. The statistical caliber of the output data in the statistical scope
report is all industries above the scale, and its statistical scope is industrial enterprises with annual main business income of 20 million yuan or more.
As the scope of industrial enterprises above designated size changes every year, in order to ensure that the data of this year is comparable to that of the previous year, the figures of the same period used to calculate the year-on-year growth rate of various indicators such as product output are consistent with the statistical scope of enterprises in this period, and there are differences in caliber with the data published in the previous year.
