On July 22, the "2026 Photovoltaic Industry Supply Chain Development (Ningbo) Seminar" was held in Ningbo, Zhejiang Province. Yan Dazhou, Supervisor/Director of China Photovoltaic Industry Association / National Engineering Laboratory of Polysilicon Material Preparation Technology, made the theme report of "Polysilicon Market Supply and Industrial Development". In the
report, Yan Dazhou made an overall review and outlook on the development of polysilicon industry. Faced with the current difficulties in the development of polysilicon, Yan Dazhou put forward five suggestions:
First, do a good job in the top-level design of the polysilicon industry, strictly control new production capacity, eliminate backward production capacity, strictly implement industry access standards, and adopt market-oriented means and environmental protection and energy consumption indicators. Policies such as differentiation of production factors force backward production capacity with high energy consumption, low quality and low efficiency to withdraw.
Second, we should adhere to the principle of "production based on sales", reduce production by self-discipline, give priority to digestion of existing inventory, maintain low-load operation, and avoid vicious price war;
Third, increase the research and development of core technology, promote the transformation of products to high-end areas, enhance the added value of products, and take the road of differentiated development;
Fourthly, according to the characteristics of enterprises, we should carry out energy saving, consumption reduction, carbon reduction, direct connection of green electricity and green certificates to create the conditions of "making silicon from green" and realize the high-quality development of enterprises;
Fifth, strengthen the research and development and practice of safety and environmental protection technology to ensure the long-term stability of the polysilicon industry.
