On July 25, the Seminar on the Review of the Development of Photovoltaic Industry in the First Half of 2025 and the Prospect of the Situation in the Second Half of 2025, sponsored by China Photovoltaic Industry Association, was held in Datong, Shanxi Province as scheduled. Wang Bohua, Honorary Chairman of China Photovoltaic Industry Association, made a keynote report on the Development of China's Photovoltaic Industry-Review of the First Half of 2025 and Prospects for the Second Half of 2025.
Due to the rapid growth of China's photovoltaic installed capacity in the first half of the year, the China Photovoltaic Industry Association raised its forecast of global photovoltaic installed capacity in 2025. From the 531-583GW forecast at the beginning of the year to 570-630GW , Wang Bohua said that the growth rate would be less optimistic, "barely double-digit growth under optimistic circumstances". At the same time, China Photovoltaic Association also raised the forecast of photovoltaic installation in 2025, from 215-255 GW at the beginning of the year to 270-300 GW.
