According to foreign media reports, on June 16, Bila Solar, an American solar module manufacturer, announced that it had produced solar modules at its Indianapolis plant , all from ES Foundry.
It is understood that the factory covers an area of 157000 square feet, initially focusing on the ground installation of fixed tilt photovoltaic systems and car shed application scenarios. The target annual production capacity of the first phase is 300MW , and after full completion, the production capacity is planned to be expanded to 1GW .
In fact, as early as September 2023, Bila Solar announced plans to build a factory dedicated to achieving the goal of producing 1G W advanced glassless and frameless solar modules annually. The factory is currently producing Bila's patented ultralight modules and the new 550 W double-glass conventional modules. It is worth noting that the new product line of the factory uses solar cells made in the United States. With this advantage, Bila Solar is eligible for a 10% localization incentive in the federal Investment Tax Credit (ITC). According to
public information, Bila Solar, an American solar module manufacturer, was founded in Singapore in 2014 by Shi Zhengrong, known as the "Godfather of Photovoltaic in China" .
