Reporters learned from the Sichuan Development and Reform Commission on the 27th that the Joint Office for Promoting the Construction of Chengdu-Chongqing Shuangcheng Economic Circle recently released the List of Major Projects for the Construction of Chengdu-Chongqing Shuangcheng Economic Circle in 2024, with a total of 300 projects and a total investment of about 3.6 trillion yuan. Compared with 2023, the number of projects and total investment have increased.
Reporters found that 300 projects cover seven key areas of infrastructure, modern industry, scientific and technological innovation, cultural tourism, ecological environment protection, opening to the outside world and public services, which will help Chengdu-Chongqing region to further smooth the "artery", build a strong "industrial chain" and make a good "life circle". From the distribution of projects in the province, the number of projects involving Chengdu is still the largest, while the number of projects in the provincial economic sub-centers of North Sichuan, South Sichuan and Northeast Sichuan has also increased. For example, there are 21 projects involving Dazhou, second only to Chengdu. In addition, Ziyang, Mianyang, Yibin, Deyang, Zigong and other places have more than 10 projects, which are in the forefront of the province.
Specifically, in 2024, the Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Circle will vigorously promote the construction of major projects from seven aspects:
further weaving the modern infrastructure network. Implementing 101 modern infrastructure projects, building Chengdu-Ziyang and other municipal (suburban) railways, Kaijiang-Liangping inter-provincial expressways, accelerating the construction of airports such as Chongqing Jiangbei, Leshan, Sichuan, Chengdu-Chongqing Middle Line, Chengdu-Dawan High-speed Railway and other major Sichuan-Chongqing corridors, and orderly promoting the implementation of the shipping center in the upper reaches of the Yangtze River. The accessibility and convenience of the "fourth level" of the main framework of the national comprehensive three-dimensional transportation network will be further enhanced. We will strive to complete the 1000 KV UHV AC project (Ganzi-Tianfu South-Chengdu East, Tianfu South-Tongliang) and other projects, accelerate the construction of the national natural gas (shale gas) production base of 100 billion cubic meters, and the "energy artery" in Chengdu-Chongqing region will be more smooth. During the year, the construction of key water conservancy projects such as Yinda-Jimin was started, and water security was continuously strengthened.
Further optimize the modern industrial system. This year, 114 projects of modern industrial system will be implemented, focusing on world-class industrial clusters such as electronic information, equipment manufacturing, automobiles and characteristic consumer goods, as well as strategic emerging industries such as robots and intelligent netwo rked automobiles, and accelerating the implementation of Yibin Lithium Electricity, Mianyang Giant Star Permanent Magnet and Deyang Aerospace Gas Engine Equipment. The supply chain system of regional industrial chain with distinctive features, safety and reliability is constantly improving, and the energy level and core competitiveness of industrial clusters in Sichuan and Chongqing will be further improved.
Further enhance the ability of regional collaborative innovation. Implementing 31 scientific and technological innovation projects, completing and putting into operation major scientific and technological infrastructure projects such as Jinping Deep Laboratory, accelerating the construction of major innovation platforms such as Chengdu-Chongqing Comprehensive Science Center and Western Science City, and starting the construction of large scientific installation projects such as China Earthquake Science Experimental Site, Chengdu-Chongqing region is accelerating to become an important source of scientific and technological innovation in the country.
Further polish the brand of Bashu Wenlu. We will implement 17 cultural tourism projects with Bashu characteristics, promote the implementation of traditional business circles such as Guanyin Bridge in Chongqing and Chunxi Road in Chengdu, as well as the upgrading projects of characteristic commercial blocks such as Ciqikou in Shapingba and Kuanzhai Alley in Chengdu, accelerate the construction of landmark cultural tourism projects such as Sanxingdui National Cultural Relics Protection and Utilization Demonstration Zone (Phase I), and accelerate the building of world-renowned business circles and international tourist destinations.
Further strengthen the ecological barrier in the upper reaches of the Yangtze River. Implementing 14 ecological environment projects, accelerating the construction of giant panda national park and "six rivers" ecological corridor projects, continuing to carry out environmental governance, implementing the joint action of carbon peak and carbon neutralization, promoting resource recycling, deepening the co-construction and co-protection of ecological environment, and accelerating the formation of green low-carbon development highland.
Further improve the level of opening up. Five opening projects will be implemented to speed up the construction of the Chongqing-Guizhou Comprehensive Service Zone and the Southwest (Zigong) Waterless Port, which will make the opening channels more smooth and accelerate the formation of inland open hubs.
Further mutual benefit and sharing of public services. Eighteen public service projects have been implemented, the Southwest Regional Emergency Rescue Center, one of the six national regional emergency rescue centers, has been built, the implementation of Suitong Regional Vocational Education Center and other projects has been accelerated, and a number of national regional medical center projects, such as Yibin Hospital, Affiliated Children's Hospital of Chongqing Medical University, have been started. Population absorption and comprehensive service functions have been continuously improved.
