Recently, many areas along the Yangtze River came the news of cement price increase, Chongqing, Hubei, Anhui, Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Shanghai and other places tried to push up the cement price by 20-30 yuan/ton.

According to China Cement Network, the starting point of this year's cement price is relatively low. As of December 29, 2023, the Yangtze River Cement Price Index was 114.21 points, down about 15 points, or about 13%, compared with the same period in 2022. After the

beginning of the year, the price of cement along the Yangtze River continued to decline due to the slow start of demand and more rainy weather. As of April 10, the cement index of the Yangtze River fell by about 18 points, or about 16%, compared with the beginning of the year. In terms of

price, the competition for share among cement enterprises in the market along the Yangtze River intensified after the year, and the price of cement continued to decline. As of April 10, the price of cement along the Yangtze River was generally around 220 yuan/ton, and the quotation of some enterprises in Chongqing, Hubei and Anhui even dropped to 180-200 yuan/ton. In terms of

cost, the domestic production cost per ton of cement is about 220 yuan/ton, plus three costs, the cost per ton of cement is about 240 yuan/ton. Before

this round of price increase, the price of cement in the market along the Yangtze River has fallen below the cost line, and cement enterprises are almost facing the situation that the price can not fall, only rise.
