Ecology and Environment, issued the Opinions on Promoting the Implementation of Ultra-low Emission in Cement Industry, requiring cement enterprises to basically complete the transformation of ultra-low emission by 2028. In order to strengthen policy interpretation, strengthen assistance and guidance, and help cement enterprises in Guizhou Province to do a good job in ultra-low emission transformation, on March 19, 2024, Wang Jiaqi, deputy director of the Department of Ecology and Environment of Guizhou Province, chaired a meeting on ultra-low emission transformation and carbon emission verification of cement enterprises.
The meeting conveyed the policy requirements of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment on the ultra-low emission transformation of cement enterprises and the national carbon market, and four cement group companies such as Guizhou Tianshan Cement Co., Ltd. Technical support units made exchanges and speeches around the guidelines for carbon emission accounting of cement enterprises and suggestions for quality management of carbon emission data.
The meeting emphasized that first, we should further strengthen policy publicity, enhance technical support, and take precise measures to help and guide enterprises in the practical difficulties of ultra-low emission transformation and carbon emission management; Second, we should comprehensively promote ultra-low emission transformation and carbon emission reduction actions, formulate ultra-low emission transformation plans in accordance with the relevant requirements of the state and provinces, and in light of the actual situation of enterprises, and implement ultra-low transformation in an orderly manner; Third, we should earnestly study the relevant policy documents and technical guidelines of the national carbon market, carry out capacity-building training, guide enterprises to improve the carbon emission management system, strengthen the management of carbon emission data, and promote the green and low-carbon transformation and upgrading of the industry.
