The Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region recently released the Action Plan for Industrial Energy Efficiency Improvement in Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, which aims to significantly improve the energy efficiency level of key industries in the region by 2025. The plan calls for energy-intensive industries such as building materials to adopt advanced technology and management improvements to improve energy efficiency, and to promote key low-carbon technologies and energy-saving equipment. Especially in the cement industry, energy-saving technology and intelligent system should be adopted in an all-round way to reduce energy consumption. At present, the energy consumption per unit product of many cement enterprises in Xinjiang has not yet reached the benchmark level, and they are facing the arduous task of clearing the inefficient production capacity.

Recently, the "Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region Industrial Energy Efficiency Promotion Action Plan" was released, "By 2025, the energy efficiency level of key industrial sectors in the autonomous region will be improved in an all-round way, the proportion of production capacity above the energy efficiency benchmark level in key areas of high energy-consuming industries will reach 30%, the production capacity below the energy efficiency benchmark level will be basically cleared, and the effect of energy saving and carbon reduction in various industries will be significantly improved. The capacity of green and low-carbon development has been greatly improved.

The Action Plan for Industrial Energy Efficiency Improvement in Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region requires that the energy efficiency requirements in key areas should be fully met, the energy-saving potential of key industries should be deeply tapped, and the improvement of enterprise technology, process and management should be promoted in an orderly manner, so as to improve quality and efficiency. For high energy-consuming industries such as building materials, a number of major low-carbon key technologies and equipment will be selected and promoted to continuously promote enterprises to improve energy efficiency, optimize energy management systems, implement the transformation of public and auxiliary facilities, and make full use of waste heat and pressure and renewable energy. The cement industry comprehensively promotes energy-saving technical equipment such as low-resistance cyclone preheater, high-efficiency firing, kiln optimization control, high-efficiency grate cooler, high-efficiency energy-saving grinding, and applies intelligent systems to make full use of non-carbonate raw materials such as carbide slag instead of limestone. According to

the Energy Efficiency Benchmarking Level and Benchmark Level in Key Industrial Areas (2023 Edition), the benchmark cement of comprehensive energy consumption per unit product of cement clinker is 100 kg standard coal/ton, and the benchmark level is 117 kg standard coal/ton. According

to the recent announcement on the energy consumption quota per unit product of cement enterprises in Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region in 2022, the comprehensive energy consumption per unit product of many cement enterprises has not reached the benchmark level. Among them, there are many large cement enterprises. It is still arduous to complete the task of basically clearing the production capacity of cement clinker below the energy efficiency benchmark level by 2025. Energy saving and consumption reduction in

cement industry is imminent. In this regard, on March 28-29, China Cement Network will hold the "13th China Cement Industry Summit and TOP100 Award Ceremony" in Hangzhou, gathering many experts to discuss the excellent case sharing of energy saving and consumption reduction in cement enterprises, and explore the application of new energy sources such as photovoltaic, energy storage and hydrogen energy in the cement industry.
