Yang Kun pointed out that with the deepening of the energy revolution and energy transformation, China's hydrogen energy industry has entered a period of rapid development. Hydrogen energy has the advantages of large-scale and long-term storage, and can also stabilize the intermittence and volatility of new energy generation through the integrated development of "wind and solar hydrogen storage", effectively promote the large-scale consumption of new energy and the smooth operation of the power grid, realize the complementarity of hydrogen and electricity, and maximize the synergistic effect of the two. He emphasized that the Hydrogen Branch, as a professional branch established by China Electricity Union, should first strengthen political leadership and promote the development of hydrogen energy from the perspective of ensuring national energy security and boosting the construction of new power systems; second, strengthen innovation support, focus on the hydrogen energy industry chain, actively help tackle key technical problems, and vigorously promote the industrialization and demonstration application of innovative achievements; Third, we should strengthen service quality, actively offer advice and suggestions, and serve as a good adviser and assistant for government decision-making. Fourth, we should strengthen professional competence and enhance service capabilities to meet the needs of industry development. Fifth, we should strengthen cross-domain cooperation, coordinate with relevant industry forces, give full play to complementary advantages, promote resource sharing, and deepen win-win cooperation. Liu Yafang said that with the accelerated evolution of a new round of scientific and technological revolution and industrial transformation, and with the consensus of all countries in the world to actively respond to climate change, hydrogen energy has gradually become a new focus of global strategic competition, an important direction for countries in the world to cultivate emerging industries, and an important starting point for promoting green and low-carbon transformation of energy production and consumption. She pointed out that in recent years, the State Energy Administration, together with the National Development and Reform Commission and other relevant departments, has actively promoted the development of hydrogen energy industry by strengthening top-level design, promoting key technical equipment tackling key problems, and exploring multi-scenario and efficient utilization.
