On September 6, the official website of China Energy Construction Co., Ltd. issued the Announcement on the Resignation of Vice Chairman and General Manager of China Energy Construction Co., Ltd. The announcement said that the board of directors of China Nengjian received the resignation report of Sun Hongshui , vice chairman and general manager, on September 6, 2023. Sun Hongshui applied to resign as executive director, vice chairman and member of the strategic committee of the board of directors for personal reasons, and resigned as general manager of the company. After his resignation, Sun Hongshui will no longer hold any position in the company. Sun Hongshui's resignation report shall take effect from the date of delivery to the board of directors.
It is reported that Sun Hongshui is a professor-level senior engineer and an expert enjoying special government allowances from the State Council. He served as Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Director and General Manager of China Energy Engineering Group Co., Ltd. In April
1999, he was appointed Deputy Director and Chief Engineer of Sinohydro Bureau 6. In June
2001, he was appointed Director of the Sixth Engineering Bureau of China Water Conservancy and Hydropower. In October
2004, he was appointed Party Member and Deputy General Manager of Sinohydro Corporation. In February
2006, he was appointed member of the Provisional Party Committee and deputy general manager of Sinohydro Corporation. In February
2007, he was appointed member of the Party Committee and deputy general manager of Sinohydro Corporation. Since November
2009, he has been a member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and the General Manager of the Real Estate Business Department of Sinohydro Corporation. In August
2011, he was appointed to the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of China Power Construction Group Co., Ltd.
In 2012, he was appointed as a member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of China Power Construction Corporation, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and General Manager of Sinohydro Corporation Limited. In September
2016, he was appointed as a director of China Power Construction Group Co., Ltd. and nominated as a candidate for general manager of China Power Construction Group Co., Ltd. In December
2016, he was appointed as Director, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and General Manager of China Power Construction Corporation. On September 6,
2023, China Energy Construction announced that Sun Hongshui resigned and would no longer hold any position in the company.
