On December 25, the world's largest commercial megawatt perovskite module photovoltaic demonstration project led by China Huaneng was put into full operation at Huaneng Qinghai Gonghe Photovoltaic Power Station. It marks an important progress in the commercial application of perovskite photovoltaic cell technology in China.
Perovskite solar cell is a new photovoltaic technology. Compared with traditional crystalline silicon solar cell, it has the advantages of high conversion efficiency, relatively simple industrial chain, low energy consumption, less raw materials and low cost. It is one of the most subversive new photovoltaic technologies.
Relying on the abundant solar energy resources in Qinghai Province, the demonstration of perovskite photovoltaic modules under high altitude and strong ultraviolet conditions was carried out in the Qinghai-Xizang Plateau in conjunction with Huaneng Clean Energy Technology Research Institute, Kunshan Xiexin Optoelectronics and many state-level research institutes and universities. Continuous technical research and process commissioning have been carried out to realize the development of core equipment for square meter perovskite production line, and the upgrading of the whole industrial chain of perovskite components from materials to process equipment has been completed. The localization rate of core equipment has reached more than 90%, and the size of perovskite components has reached 1 meter by 2 meters . The conversion efficiency of components is constantly breaking records.
Through the research and development of key technologies such as preparation of high-efficiency perovskite battery components, stable film formation and crystallization control, the key production process of perovskite slit coating under large area size has been broken through, and the technical indexes of photoelectric conversion efficiency, stability and good product rate of large area perovskite components have been continuously improved. It has achieved a significant leap from production line to commercial demonstration of perovskite photovoltaic technology, provided data support for further upgrading and iteration of perovskite photovoltaic cell technology, and accelerated the industrialization process.
