On December 26, the commencement ceremony of the first large-scale offshore pile foundation fixed offshore photovoltaic project in China, the 400 MW offshore photovoltaic project in Yantai Zhaoyuan, was solemnly held in Zhaoyuan City, Shandong Province. This is the first offshore pile foundation fixed offshore photovoltaic project with complete formalities and substantial start-up in China, which marks that China's offshore photovoltaic power station has formally entered the stage of large-scale development. After the completion of the project, the annual power generation will be about 690 million kilowatt-hours, which will provide continuous green power for the economic and social development of Shandong Province.
The project is located in Laizhou Bay in the north of Zhaoyuan City, with a total planned area of about 6.44 square kilometers , consisting of 121 photovoltaic sub-arrays . After the completion of the project, it is estimated that the average annual power generation will be 690 million kilowatt-hours within 25 years of operation, the equivalent annual reduction of standard coal consumption will be about 207,000 tons, and the emission reduction of carbon dioxide will be about 532,000 tons, which will continue to help Zhaoyuan optimize the layout of new energy industry and build a "regional leading green energy city".
In the preliminary planning and design stage, the differences between offshore conditions and onshore photovoltaic projects are fully considered. The photovoltaic modules used in this project are the first double-sided double-glass high-efficiency single crystal heterojunction modules with completely independent intellectual property rights and adapting to the special marine environment, which are jointly developed by CGN and the industrial chain.
