According to foreign media reports, the Domi Eko Solar has begun to produce photovoltaic panels at a factory near Velika Plana in central Serbia. This is the first photovoltaic panel production facility in the country. Demand for solar panels for personal use in
Serbia has increased significantly. Since the country passed a legal framework early last year to allow power buyers to become prosumers, the number of power buyers has exceeded 2,700, with an installed capacity of more than 37MW. Meanwhile, private investment in large-scale solar power plants is under development, with the 1G W project implemented by the Serbian government. Dragan Rajovi Rajović, director and owner of
Domi Eko Solar, said the company would produce two types of panels: 450 kW for consumers (both citizens and businesses) and 550 kW for larger capacity solar power plants.
Italian company Ecoprogetti recently delivered manufacturing equipment
"The plant has a capacity of 100MW per year.". It is planned to achieve this goal by the middle of next year. Rajovi Rajović explains, adding that the investment in production equipment is estimated at 3 million euros.
The manufacturing equipment was provided by the Italian producer Ecoprogetti. Rajovi Rajović noted that representatives of the T TÜV S SÜD certification body would arrive in a few days to inspect production standards and issue IEC 61215 and IEC61730 certificates.
He stressed that the factory and photovoltaic technology are the most advanced. Vladimir Dimitrijevi Dimitrijević, project manager at
Domi Eko Solar, explained that the line is semi-automatic and has a shift of 0 operators. He disclosed plans to employ a total of 45 workers in three shifts.
Capacity can be easily increased to 200 MW or 300MW Dimitrijevi 300MWDimitrijević stressed that capacity can be easily increased from 100MW to 200 MW or 300 MW . The Domi Eko Solar plans to sell the panels in wholesale markets in Serbia and the European Union, while also opening retail stores in Serbia. Rajovi Rajović stated that the quality of the panels is a top priority for the company, especially considering that the market is flooded with a variety of goods.
"The Domi Eko Solar will guarantee quality and comply with leading industry standards, and the biggest advantage is that investors and customers can visit us to see how the company produces solar panels," Rajovi Rajović said.
